According to a report from Sammobile, the January 2022 security update for Galaxy S21 FE is rolling out in Thailand. It is tagged with the firmware version G990EXXU1BUL5. The update will expand to more regions as Samsung starts shipping the Galaxy S21 FE in more countries. Samsung Galaxy S21 FE users in the above-specified region have already started picking up the new update. The latest OTA update is just a security patch update. So, don’t expect it to bring new features or UI changes.

The newly-announced Galaxy S21 FE offers a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with 1080 x 2400 pixel FullHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The Gorilla Glass Victus protection is applied on the panel. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 888 5G chipset, paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage, with no support for additional storage. Galaxy S21 FE boasts a triple camera setup on the back that includes a 12MP OIS-enabled primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and an 8MP telephoto shooter. On the front, it features a 32MP punch-hole-style selfie shooter. The device packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
